Jerad’s Mesaversary Card

My husband and I celebrate our monthly wedding anniversary. Nothing big, just a date night and sometimes a gift. But, I always make him a card. And, this turned out pretty cute. I’ve been seeing a lot of coral-y oranges paired with grey lately. I really like that combo and thought it looked “manly” enough for him, so I gave it a try. I used a Hiedi Swapp Color Magic Memory File and cut it down to fit a 4×6 card size. The bonus? It was pre-folded at the spine!! I used a Tim Holtz distress ink to give it a grungy look. I also used a pretty Close to My Heart paper in a coral shade with a print that matched the folder. I also used a scrap of grey that I had in my scrap pile. I used the Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges of all the papers to help them blend. I had some little stud embellishments in silver that I used on the corners of the grey paper across the front. I used a strip of my new tissue tape from Tim Holtz. And, finally I added a heart. I wanted a little bling, so I used a nice pen to draw it in and then sprinkled some glitter on it before it dried. A cool thing about using a Heidi Swapp Color Magic folder is that you can customize the color to match whatever color scheme you want. I especially liked using it to make a card because the inside of the folder is always white so you don’t have to worry about writing your personal note.
